Melbourne Airport Shuttle

Skybus runs a shuttle bus service from the airport to central Melbourne and city hotels, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Buses run every 10-15 minutes throughout the day and every 30-60 minutes overnight.

Skybus Hotel Shuttle operates from the city 6am-10pm Monday to Friday and 7:30am - 6:30pm Saturday and Sunday.

At Melbourne International Airport you will find Skybus kerbside at Arrivals for International and Domestic flights. In the city, Skybus departs from Southern Cross Station.

You don't need to make reservations or bookings for Skybus. Buses depart every 10-15 minutes daily. You can either pay on the day of travel or purchase and print your tickets online via their website.

If you want to be picked up at your hotel or motel in central Melbourne when leaving, you will need to book the Skybus Hotel Shuttle. Book your hotel connection pick-up by calling 9600 1711 or contact your concierge to make the booking. Skybus recommend booking the day before departure.

Buying tickets

You can purchase and print your tickets on-line now. Skybus also sells tickets from ticket booths at their city terminal in Southern Cross Station, and at Melbourne Airport Tullamarine terminal T1 and T3.

Other Skybus ticket sales outlets are the Metshop at Melbourne Town Hall, and the Metshop on-line store, where you can buy Skybus Metcards and other Met tickets. You can purchase and print your Skybus Super Shuttle tickets online via credit card 24-hours, seven-days-a-week.

Skybus ticket booths operate between 6am and 9pm and you can pay with cash, eftpos or credit card at these times, or at all times via our automated kiosks at the airport.

Skybus do not accept credit card or eftpos between the hours of 9pm and 6am because payment is given directly to their drivers onboard the Skybus Shuttle.

Getting to and from your hotel

Skybus Hotel Shuttle is a free link between your hotel and the Skybus city terminal at Southern Cross Station. This is an extra service for Skybus Shuttle passengers. The service is available to all Skybus passengers using one-way or return tickets during hotel shuttle hours of operation (Monday to Friday 0600 - 2130; Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays 0730 - 1730) and subject to availability. Skybus recommends booking pick-ups from hotels the day prior to travel.

Getting to the airport on time

Skybus Shuttle takes 20 minutes from the city to the airport. If you are using the free city Hotel Shuttle, allow one hour between hotel pickup time and arrival at Melbourne International Airport. Ensure you allow enough time at Melbourne Airport Tullamarine to meet your airline's check in requirements.

Luggage

All Skybus vehicles are equipped with on-board luggage storage, but there are limits. Skybus limit two large suitcases per person and excess baggage will be carried space is available. Bikes can be carried on-board if they are dismantled and secured in a box.

Wheelchair access

Both the Skybus Shuttle and the Hotel Connection Service buses are 100% mobility-enhanced, providing access to wheelchair passengers.

Melbourne public transport

Skybus has introduced Skybus Metcards which provide integrated ticketing for zone-1 travel on Melbourne's trains, trams and buses. These tickets are available from Skybus tickets booths, the Metshop at Melbourne Town Hall, and Metshop on-line store, where you can buy Skybus Metcards and other Met tickets.
